Photography Commission
Every year, The George Gund Foundation commissions a photographer to highlight a Foundation priority or area of interest. These artists have captured insights into the Foundation’s commitment to the revitalization of Cleveland’s neighborhoods, our longstanding concerns for improving public education, and many other issues. These photo essays both portray our areas of engagement and serve on their own as notable examples of our support for arts.
The first 12 years of photographs were compiled in a book, A City Seen, for the Foundation’s celebration of its 50th anniversary.
