At The George Gund Foundation, we believe philanthropy is most effective when it is shaped by those closest to the work. That’s why we routinely engage in candid feedback processes to better understand how our grantee partners experience our funding, communication, and collaboration.

The 2023 Grantee Perception Report, prepared by the Center for Effective Philanthropy (CEP), offers an independent, confidential evaluation of the Foundation’s performance from the perspective of our grantees. The report benchmarks our results against peer funders across key indicators—including impact, relationships, equity, and effectiveness—and helps us identify opportunities for growth.
