Julia Carey

Julia Carey, grants administrator, is responsible for the Foundation’s grantmaking system and processes. This includes tracking proposals and grant awards made by the Foundation and all grant correspondence, payments, reports, and files. Julia supports prospective grantees through the grant application process, including deadlines, requirements, decisions, and reports. She also troubleshoots any technical difficulties with proposal submission.

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2025, Julia was the grant programs manager at Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, where she managed a portfolio of 100+ organizations. While at CAC, Julia planned and implemented the two-year general operation support grants which distributed $10.2 million each year. Julia has a B.A. in studio art and religious studies from the College of Wooster. Her interests include sustainable agriculture and gardening, ceramics, rock climbing, and reading books.
